Alphabet Zoo

Alphabet Zoo is an interactive zoo aimed at teaching young children the alphabet. Initially it started out as a personal project and an excuse for me to draw lots of animals, it later evolved into a project that the company I work for was willing to take on. The beta version can be seen here.

Number Workout

I'm currently working on a follow up to Alphabet Zoo, called Number Workout. This time around the theme is sport. Each number from 1 to 10 is represented by players of different sports.

Earth-touch: Chronograph

Chronograph is a visual, chronological representation of time and environment using the Earth-Touch video archive. See wildlife footage in context with weather data from Earth-Touch film locations.
I was part of the team that developed the Chronograph for Earth-touch.com, my major role in this project was graphic design, I also created the storyboards. The online version is here.

Weekday Heroes: Logo Design

Corporate Id design for Weekday heroes. I wanted to design something simple, combining the letters W and H, here are a few of the options I came up with and the complete version is in use here.

Read Right website revamp

The redesign for the Sunday Times educational supplement, Read right. The client wanted to switch from a Flash site to a more manageable wordpress empowered site.

Earth-touch: Lion Educational gadgets

Interactive additions to Earth-touch.com. I designed and animated a series of "edu-gadgets" focusing on different environments and animals featured on the site. The series includes: Mangrove swamps, Elephants, the Indian ocean and the Potato Bass. The "edu-gadgets" are enriched with videos, amazing photography and a quiz at the end. Unfortunately the Lion gadget featured in this post was never included. The series can be viewed here.

My Spots

My contribution to a on-going exhibition called "City Slickers". Because of the exhibition's urban theme, my concept was to use info graphics to visually map out my regular movements within Johannesburg.

Interactive supplements for Mindset Health

These supplements are aimed at educating parents and caregivers on how to treat children with HIV/aids. The supplements focused on a variety of important topics from adherence to ARVs to nutritional guide lines. All the content and story boards were supplied by Mindset.
I designed everything from the display mechanism to the icons.

Virgin memories

I helped put together an idea proposal for a potential product aimed at Virgin. The Idea involved themes of travel and memories, I used Polaroid snap shots and travel souvenirs as design elements.

My Friends

An illustration of all my friends as part of a fun birthday invitation for my girlfriend's 25th birthday. The online invitation was temporarily hosted by a friend.
